Thank god for the fine folks at Mopar Performance. You're looking at a new 6.1L Hemi, just like the new Challenger engine. You'll have to wait and see what transmission is getting hooked up behind it, because it's going to be really cool. Here it is getting a test fit before the body is media blasted. I might have a rusty piece of junk right now, but pretty soon it'll be a FAST rusty piece of junk.

The lower tailgate area is the worst spot for rust on this vehicle, other than the floorpans. The sheet metal rear body crossmember was cut out and replaced with a piece of square tube. New body mounts and braces were welded to that piece. Body supports were also trimmed away and reconstructed because of rust. The floor has been trimmed back and plug welded to the new crossmember. This all makes for a very strong foundation for the tailgate hinge.

There was some really nice rust on the lower tailgate, and a tailgate repair kit costs too much. So we made our own! Take note of the small holes drilled in a line along the outside of the tailgate. Thats the mark of a homemade dent puller. Who needs a stud gun?

Original 59 dash test fit, and the beginnings of a custom firewall.

S10 front suspension installed, 8.8" Ford rear installed. The leaf springs are from an Explorer and are mounted with custom hangers and shackles. Frame has been fully boxed.

Luxurious interior, impressive engine

This is where the project started. A little old man with an old Jeep that he took no mercy on. Stump jumping, four wheelin', you name it, this vehicle did it. The little Jeep started out life as a Washington State Forest Service vehicle.

Concept Rendering

Here's the design for the build. The wagon will have a stance only slightly lower than stock and will have wood panels placed in the side inset areas. It's going to look like your grandpa's nicely fixed up putt-putt woody wagon, and that's exactly what I want everyone to think. Start some shit with it at a stop light and it's a different story! The engine drawing should give you a hint.
